Their high standard began with Phares Rutt’s custom creations in 1951, drawing inspiration from artisans many centuries before him. Working from a rustic workshop next to his home in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Phares Rutt was part of southeastern Pennsylvania’s Amish and Mennonite communities, where hand craftsmanship is unique.

Today, Rutt has added technology to guarantee a higher level of quality, but not as a replacement for the skill and pride of their artisans. Theirs is a tireless devotion—some boast decades of dedication to their craft at Rutt.
